About the Role
BE A SHERO is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Program Director to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that advance our organizational goals and serve our community. The Program Director will oversee program operations, manage staff and resources, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders and funders.
This role requires a collaborative leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day program management while ensuring programs deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement program strategies that align with the organization’s mission, goals, and long-term objectives
- Design, Present and manage programs that address community needs and expand the organization’s reach and impact
- Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and financial reporting for projects and initiatives
- Monitor program performance, evaluate effectiveness, and adjust strategies to ensure goals and targets are met
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors
- Prepare and present reports on program performance, outcomes, and impact to senior leadership, board members, and funders
- Ensure programs comply with all relevant regulations and organizational policies
- Identify, pursue, and support funding opportunities including grants and partnerships
- Represent and advocate for the organization’s mission and programs in the community and public forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social sciences, or related field.
- Proven experience managing programs, projects, or initiatives within a nonprofit, community organization, or similar setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with program evaluation, budgeting, and performance tracking
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
